How complete is ugBASIC right now?

How capable is ugBASIC at the moment?
I know that it is still a work in progress, but does it currently have enough features to be used to create a text adventure game for all the computer (not console) platforms it supports?
I'm thinking of something along the lines of Colossal Cave Adventure, which had a simple two word parser and allowed the player to save and restore their progress.
